I was ten years old the first time I stood on a board. The Shore Temple was behind me, the Bay of Bengal in front, and nobody had to teach me to love it. I just did.
I grew up in Mahabalipuram when it was quiet. Before the tourists, before the cafes. Just fishermen, temples, and the ocean. Surfing was mine. Something private. Something that made sense when nothing else did.
Then people started showing up on the beach. Curious. Nervous. Asking if they could try. And something happened the first time I helped someone stand up on a wave. I felt it more than when I ride myself.
That is why Sukha exists. Not because I planned a business. Because I could not stop.
We are not a surf school that happens to be in Mahabalipuram. We are Mahabalipuram. This beach is home. These waves are home. And when you come here, even for one morning, we mean it when we say you are family.
If you ever find yourself in Mahabalipuram, come find us. We will be on the beach.
